Play Shithead Online
Shithead Online is a fast multiplayer version of the classic shedding card game. Play in your browser, create a private room for friends, join with a lobby code, or practice against bots.
What is Shithead?
Shithead is a shedding card game where players race to empty their hand, their face-up cards and finally their face-down cards. It is easy to start, but the tension builds when the draw pile runs out and every face-down card is a risk.
The game is also known by names such as Palace, Karma, Shed and, in Dutch groups, Zweedspesten. House rules vary, so Shithead Online keeps the app rules clear and consistent.
Play with friends or bots
Create a private lobby and share a four-letter room code, join an open online match, or start a quick match with bots. The game works on desktop and mobile browsers with no download required.
For repeat players, the web app can be installed to the home screen as a PWA so joining a game feels closer to opening a native app.
Rules preview
In the current app version, 2 resets the pile, 3 is transparent, 7 forces the next normal play lower than or equal, 10 burns the pile, and four-of-a-kind on top burns too. 8 does not skip by default.
- Each player starts with three face-down cards, three face-up cards and three hand cards.
- The draw pile keeps your hand topped up to three cards while cards remain in the deck.
- You must play from your hand first, then face-up cards, then face-down cards.
- You can play one card or multiple cards of the same rank.
- 2 is always playable and resets the pile.
- 3 is always playable and transparent: the next player plays against the last non-3 card below it.

De Nederlandse uitleg gebruikt dezelfde appregels als de Engelse Shithead-regels, zodat spelers snel kunnen controleren wat een 2, 3, 7 of 10 doet.
